Born in New York, raised in Sydney by her Brazilian parents, Marcella Carvalho is a versatile designer who can conjure a range of styles. Currently residing in Sydney and completing her Bachelor in Design: Visual Communication at the University of Western Sydney, she is eager to pursue her career in design.

Her design journey began when she was at Central station waiting for a train and a billboard for Qantm College caught her attention. The advertising must have worked because one year later she found herself graduating with a Diploma of Interactive Digital Media and the realisation that being a designer was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

Marcella went on to study a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication at the University of Western Sydney. Through this course her passion for design has grown, working with clients in the studio, designing apps, printwork and collaborating with other students to produce a publication named Trace; that was a finalist in the Sydney Design Awards 2013. She interned at Just Marketing as a Graphic Designer in 2013.

As an adaptable designer, Marcella’s key strengths within graphic design are web design, interactive design, print publications brand identity and photography. She is also interested in animation and typography. Organised, perfectionist, blogger, coffee lover, and pop culture queen, Marcella starts off all her mornings with a to-do list.
